Horse Cremations
The bond between horses and humans has long been celebrated. Many of our Pets at Peace team have grown up with horses and know how difficult it is to say goodbye. We also understand that losing a horse presents a number of practical difficulties, which is why we’re here to help make things as easy as possible.
Our custom-designed horse crematorium and transport system caters to horses of all shapes and sizes, allowing your beloved horse to be treated with care and respect during every stage of their final journey.
The horse cremation service is a private service, which ensures that the ashes of your horse, and only your horse, are returned to you.
Important information
Our prices are dependent on the size of your horse and your location. Our standard horse cremation service is from $1300 (0-7 H – Pony), which includes the careful collection and transport of your horse from any location within a 100km radius of South Windsor. Following a guaranteed private cremation, your horse’s ashes will then be returned to you. Additional charges apply for weekend and after hours collections.
You will also have the option to choose from a large range of vessels and memorabilia to create a truly personalised tribute to your beloved horse. These products are available for an additional cost.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a pet cremation?
Simply contact our friendly team and we can organise everything for you to suit your individual needs.
Visit our About us page to learn more about the services we offer and how you can make a booking.
How can I be sure I will receive my pet’s ashes?
To ensure the ashes of your pet, and only your pet, are returned to you, we have carefully developed our 7 Point Pet Tracking system to provide complete transparency throughout every stage of the cremation process. We assign a unique identification number to your pet at the time of booking and create an ID tag that contains your pet’s details (name, breed and location). This ID tag follows your pet throughout their journey and is checked and double checked at many points throughout the process so you can be absolutely sure that you are receiving your pet’s ashes.

How much do your pet cremations cost?
Our costs are determined by the size of your pet, the location of your pet, whether we need to collect on a weekday or after hours, and how you choose to memorialise your pet.
We always strive to provide value for money, as well as peace of mind, which is why we include a range of simple, practical vessels in the standard private cremation price. We also understand the importance of being able to honour your pet’s memory in a special and meaningful way, with a selection of vessels and memorabilia for you to choose from at an optional cost.

I would like to keep my pet's ashes following their cremation, what are my options?
One of the hardest decisions when losing your pet is what to do with their ashes. You may choose to scatter their ashes in a place that holds special meaning to you, or to celebrate their memory through a special urn, memorial or keepsake that you can keep close to remind you of the life you shared together.
There is no right or wrong way to memorialise your pet. If you decide to pay tribute to their memory through a physical piece that contains your pet’s ashes, there are a number of options available. These include:
• Vessels and urns
• Plaques and burial markers
• Jewellery, keepsakes and memorial items
• Paw prints and fur clippings
